Sharing & Exporting Timelines

As for Jira Issue Filters, Timelines can be shared with other Jira Users. Additionally, all data can exported in several formats. This guide provides instructions on how to share and export Timelines in Time Squad.


Sharing Timelines

  1. In Time Squad, click the gear icon at the top right.

  2. From the drop-down, select Timeline Settings

  3. Check the Share with other users box.

  4. Click Save.

Tip

You can also share Timelines from the Manage Timelines page. For detailed instructions, refer to the Managing Timelines documentation.


Exporting Timelines

  1. In Time Squad, click the Export (downward arrow).

  2. From the drop-down menu, select one of the following options:

  • XLSX

  • CSV

  • JSON

  • New iCal feed…

Exporting to iCal

You can export Environment Events and Logs (deployments and status changes) to Outlook, Gmail, iCalendar, iOS Calendar, etc.

Requirements

  • Only calendars that are shared with Anyone can be exported to iCal feeds. For detailed information, refer to the Calendar Permissions article.

Steps

  1. In Time Squad, access the desired Timeline.

  2. Click the Export button (downward arrow).

  3. Select New iCal feed.

  4. Enter a Name for your new export.

  5. Select the specific Calendars you wish to export.

  6. Click Create.

The iCal feed link will display in the Generated Link field.

Tip

Create as many exports as needed. This allows you to view Events in your preferred calendar app without directly connecting to Jira. You can also display Events in Confluence using Team Calendar.
