Issues
Use Cases
Jira issues have many date information, for instance Created date, Resolution date, Due date, Date / Datetime custom fields, etc.
Those are the reasons why we have built Issue Events and Issue Calendars.
This documentation refers to specific and advanced settings of Issue Calendars. Refer to the Timeline Core Concepts page if you are not familiar with basic concepts and features of Calendars.
Setup an Issue Calendar
In the Events Source tab, choose which Issues you want to show on the Timeline. Using the toggle on the top right corner, you can switch between Basic and Advanced modes.

Basic Mode
In the first section, select a Jira Project and the Issue Type. In the second section, map the Calendar Events start date, end date and Environment with your Issue Type Fields.

Advanced Mode
With the advanced mode, choose a Jira Project, an existing Jira Filter or write your own JQL query.
Then, in order for the Events to appear on your Timeline, you have to choose the issue fields corresponding to the start of the event, the end of the event and the linked Environment.
Finally, you can define Default Values for the Project and the Issue Type, that will be populated automatically when you will create issue from the Timeline, using drag-and-drop.
